Summer tours always seem to be the most fun for one reason or another.
It brings out the personalities on the tour and almost forces everyone into one big group. The bamboozle road show was no exception. With different types of artists ranging from us, a pop band from New York to a hip hop group called LMFAO from so-cal, who would have thought this tour could be as tight knit as it was?
This bamboozle roadshow feels like a dream to me that I woke up and remembered. Everyday there was someone new to meet and something new to do. The crowds were unreal and more than we could have ever asked for! Sharing the stage with some of these bands was unreal. Third Eye Blind and Good Charlotte are just a few of the bands that we grew up listening to. From the late night hangs with everyone, to the LMFAO dance parties on stage, this tour really was a traveling summer camp.
Growing up, and first learning guitar to Good Charlotte songs, Simple Plan riffs, and the Third Eye Blind anthems of our time, the Bamboozle Roadshow was so much more than just another Summer tour. The idols of my adolescence shifted from deities and musical god's, to close friends and cohorts. Being accepted openly and respected as an upcoming band, the roadshow was easily the highlight of not only my musical career, but quite frankly one the highlights of my life.
The Bamboozle Roadshow was more than just a tour, it was a dream come true. I don't think ever again in my life will I see Third Eye Blind follow up a set by LMFAO or have the Hanson brothers cooking me a burger at night. This tour was definitely a tour that I will never forget. Having the opportunity to play venues like Soldier Field with bands I grew up listening to (ex: Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Hellogoodbye) is a once in a lifetime experience. I just feel so blessed that not only were we able to be apart of such an amazing tour but that all the bands really became one clique.
